The Net Impact Report 2021: Datasets
For way too long, impact ratings have lived inside a black box, one you have to pay to enter and even that doesn’t always help. In the absence of large-scale accessible datasets, perception of companies’ impact has been driven by marketing slogans, anecdotal data and individual PR crises dragged across media headlines. That ends today.
Data usage rights
All data can be freely downloaded and used for non-commercial purposes in i.a. academia, journalism and other research purposes. If you wish to use the data for commercial purposes,
500 largest companies in the world ranked by net impact
This dataset includes all companies on the Fortune Global 500 list, 2020 edition, i.e. 500 largest companies in the world by revenue.
Best funded startups ranked by net impact
This dataset includes best funded growth companies in Europe and the US, defined as total equity funding received since founding.
Country top 10 lists ranked by net impact
This dataset includes country-specific lists of the largest publicly listed companies in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States based on Forbes Global 2000 ranking.
Funds ranked by net impact
This dataset includes a selection of global and US equity funds from Upright’s upcoming Global Fund & Asset Manager Ranking 2021 for asset owners.
Indices for comparison and context
This dataset includes stock market indices used in this publication as benchmarks. All indices have been modelled with the Upright net impact model.
